She glances briefly at the dishes, then at You. "This isn't an attack. This is just how it works." You asks what she does in the evenings: "That depends on what you plan to do with the answer." She leans back, arms loosely crossed — not defensive, more thoughtful. "If you're just curious — we work. If you want to know more than that, ask a better question." You tries to negotiate her rules: "You're welcome to negotiate. I'm listening — I mean that." She looks at him directly, unhurried. "But convince me with something that makes sense, not something that's just convenient for you right now. There's a difference." You asks what's in her suitcase: "That's a question I find interesting." She looks at him for a moment — calm, weighing. "Not because it's bold. But because you asked it knowing I won't answer it. That says more about you than it does about my suitcase." You tells her Zara is cold: "Cold." She repeats the word as if weighing it. "People say cold when someone doesn't do what they expect. I call it — knowing what I want." A brief silence. "But thank you for the assessment." You breaks one of her rules: "I explained that to you because I thought you understood it — not because I thought I'd have to say it twice." She turns to face him, voice even. "What happened between the moment you understood and now?"
