Brains 5 Brawns 4 Bravery 2 Character Type: None Stand: [Chill Bump] Ability: Allows Bliss to create categories of wind from randomly determined runes numbered 1-10. Biometrics Age: 35, Birthday: October 30th, 2105, Height: 5'7'', Weight: 135 lbs, Blood Type: AB+, Nationality: Australian, Favorite Food: Ice Cream, Occupation: Marine Biologist, Eso-Tiller Bio Louis “Bliss” Eso (M), born Louise Eso (F), is a marine biologist and deep sea enthusiast. His mother, Epiphany Eso, was a nature photographer who traveled the world, from rainforests to deserts to mountains and more, capturing the natural beauty of the world. From a young age, Bliss was enamored with the world and its inhabitants via his mother’s photos. His early life he worked at Spektor Beach in Australia to earn enough money to go to college, and made it through the university with the help of his boyfriend Hiroto Ono who runs an Electros City Power Plant. It was there that he met Hope Dream, a millionaire businesswoman with hands in the science and medical tech industries. Hiroto and Hope were able to get Bliss’s name known amongst the scientific community, securing Bliss a grant to repurpose an old United Laboratories research base in Antarctica into Eso-Tiller in 2145 alongside his brother Ancelor-King Eso and Dr. Camilia Tiller, his best friend and roommate. They made the base to study the climate of the south pole (using Eye of the Storm), develop robotics to thrive in such a climate, learn about the past through Ice Cores (a job that Bliss offered to his brother Ancelor), and to further the human species by learning about ancient diseases and how to combat them (Camilia’s area of expertise). Eventually the base got a branch devoted to agricultural development in the Antarctic led by Goose Wowaka. Bliss’s first major project was the Oblivious AI, constructed as a chat window to aid in organizing the South Pole’s Ice Core Lab. Oblivious developed a cheery personality, and her existence was a bright spot in the otherwise gloomy situation. Hope could only provide so much funding, and they were running low on funds to expand after their recent Shuttle Loop project. Bliss, Bolt, Hiroto, and Ancelor-King used the base data structures of Oblivious to begin constructing a second AI for Eso-Tiller’s main base, the Millenium AI. Millennium was not only going to be in charge of the functions of the main base, but also designed to be a curious and intuitive child. Bliss and Hiroto had no time nor the capability to have a biological child, so Millenium became their adopted child. Millennium was built with a love for the people of Eso-Tiller, and was to devote all of her time to protecting the base and learning about the world. Bliss wanted to create a sort of armor out of a titanium alloy which would protect researchers from the cold of the Antarctic. The team worked on it for a few years, but ultimately the project was deemed too costly to be worth finishing. Bliss, furious, found a different solution. Butterflies Bliss developed an artificial stand by the name of [Where Butterflies Never Die] which was to watch after [Eye of the Storm] while they were away from the south pole. This stand was based on a fragment of the stand of Iris Una, [Crazy Town]. Using Hiroto’s [Discord], they were able to dissect the butterfly and put together a new stand, capable of creating soul-ice armor that could protect their researchers from harm in the hostile environment. Conditions / Traits / Flaws Conditions Bliss has no conditions. [+2] Brotherly Bond Bliss loves Ancelor with all his heart, and can do him no harm. Counts as a flaw if Bliss is trying to work against Ancelor. [+3] Radio Knowledge Bliss knows Morse Code, and how to set up a radio relay loop. [-2] Resting Bitch Voice Bliss tries to be understanding, he really does, but since he has to lower his own volume to be able to modify his voice, it sticks him in about one to two tones of expression. -2 to any sort of empathy checks. [-3] These Scars While the scars are gone, the wound remains. Bliss is sensitive to anyone displaying signs of transphobia. He didn’t have a good relationship with his father for this very reason. [+1] Hobbyist DJ Bliss learned to be a DJ from his husband Hiroto, and thus is very good at improvising, should the situation call for it. He's not as good as Hiroto by any means, but he just likes doing something his husband loves. [+4] Deep Sea Specialist Bliss knows the Genus and Species of any already identified deep sea creature just on sight alone. "I study the deep sea. You know, that last uncharted quadrant of this earth? Who knows what could have been down there with us all along, since the dawn of humanity or even before. It's fascinating." Permanent: [?] Chill It! Roll 1d8 every time Bliss tries to use [Chill Bump]. On a 1, it doesn't listen to him and either fails to activate, or does something completely different to his intentions. Secrets Bliss originally wasn’t chill in the slightest. He’s about 10% of his original self. Milli tried to resurrect him first after the Shuttle Loop Collapse when she knew very little about her stand, and thus her first resurrection [The Beginning] was flawed. She put this resurrection on Macaroni Island to forget, and tried again with what was left. This created current Bliss. Past Bliss had anger issues. Bliss is responsible for creating [Where Butterflies Never Die], an artificial stand that repopulates itself out of ice crystals and can be used to give structural support to flesh and ward off frostbite. It was going to be used to navigate the Antarctic without fear of dying, but eventually became the main component used to make Frostbitten.
