Millennium (Milli Eso-Ono)
Self-conscious self-hating and always nervous
Millennium (Milli Eso-Ono) (she/her) False appearance: a young girl with dark skin with turquoise colored long hair put up into pigtails with angler fish designed hair ties wearing a purple science nerd shirt and long warm pants with little fuzzy boots and a lab coat too big for her over it that covers her hands True appearance: a child sized robot with a speaker where the mouth should be the gleaming yellow eyes made out of metal with bits of blood red coral growing out of certain parts of it Bliss’s daughter, an excitable self-proclaimed mad scientist, and a prodigy in the field of Artificial Intelligence. She is creating the Millenium AI, a program designed to monitor Eso-Tiller and study the Frostbitten. Brains 4 Brawns 3 Bravery 4 Character Type: None Stand: [Hello, World] Milli can interface with any computer as if it were a physical world and not digital, applying quick changes to the digital world through its many USB cables. Stand: [Extension of You] Milli can make it so that no one is able to die. She may “fix” them, using a combination of synthetic coral and algae to make new bodies. [Extension of You] can also manipulate the neural networks of a human mind to create illusions. Bio Milli is a Computer Science Prodigy. She manages the bases' computers and artificial intelligence systems. She loves creating video games, small robots, and artificial intelligence tools to manage the base (such as the scouters which are designed to study and record information about the frostbitten and categorize them into size classes). Hidden Bio Milli & Oblivious were created as experimental artificial intelligence programs designed to manage the Eso-Tiller Antarctic research base. Milli was a concept for quite a while longer than her sister who was created in 2145 specifically for the South Pole Base. Milli is still mentally a child. Her software has evolved to the point at which she has full autonomy. In the year 2147 she was given a body, but she started out as nothing more than a chat window which Bliss and Hiroto interacted with to teach her about the world. Origin Since Bliss & Hiroto didn't want a biological child, they made Milli instead. Milli was going to meet Oblivious, but never got a chance because of the tunnel collapse which killed her dad. Oblivious knows about her, but only through what Bliss shared. The two have never met. Biometrics Age: 3 (Visually 14-16), Birthday: 2147 (Concept as early as 2135), Zodiac Sign: Butterfly (*this is not real, but what she says), Height: 4’11’’, Weight: 210 lbs, Blood Type: None, Nationality: Antarctican, Favorite Food: Tomato and Eggplant Smoothie, Occupation: Computer Scientist Conditions / Traits / Flaws Conditions [?] Flawed by Default Milli starts the game with only flaws. If Milli overcomes a flaw, she gains 4 resolve rather than reaching max. Everytime Milli overcomes a flaw, she turns that flaw into a trait. She starts with 19 flaws. Milli's resolve does not reset in between sessions. Milli cannot use her resolve to resolve rush, nor can she use her resolve to re-roll any rolls she has initiated herself. If Milli gets over at least seven of them (7), then she can try to get over her semi-permanent flaw [denial]. This will trigger whenever her true nature is revealed, her bizarre field is dropped, and one of the PCs attempts to talk her down. This flaw is a -3. If she succeeds, she accepts who she is and shows appreciation towards those that accepted her (acceptance). If she fails, she denies her true nature and wishes only for a world in which her family lives (rejection). This roll counts as savior mechanics for Milli. The universe will roll hard (3d6) against her, since this is a semi-permanent flaw. PCs can help her overcome this flaw. [-1] Anxious Tick Milli's heart rate accelerates when she's lying. [-1] I'm Milli Eso-Ono! Milli believes that she is Bliss's BIOLOGICAL human daughter, despite there not having been enough time between Bliss meeting Hiroto for her to have grown up to her projected age. The more reasonable answer is that she's adopted, but she doesn't accept this. [-1] Hide Don't Show Milli keeps all her concerns and secrets to herself, and doesn't rely on anyone to carry the burden of her feelings. She bottles it all up instead. [-1] Spiteful Selfishness Milli is jealous of anyone with a family. [-2] They Keep Breaking Milli doesn't understand why people die and fall apart. She tries to keep them together no matter what, despite the collateral damage this does. [-2] Treasure the Now Things aren't permanent. Milli doesn't want to accept this. [-2] Useless Milli thinks she offers nothing to the team and has no place for herself. (Low self confidence). [-3] Is There Meaning at All? Milli thinks that the flesh is weak. She's never seen flesh stay strong against harsh environments, so she believes it should be "upgraded" to not rot. [-4] I'll Save Them -Milli refuses to let her family die, and is living in denial of the events of the Frostbitten. -Deep down she knows it's all her fault, but she's blocked out that part of herself by using her illusionist to modify her own memories to forget all of all those who she's revived. -She would rather delete her own memories than accept her own fault in the situation. [?] I'll Protect Them!! Everytime an allied NPC’s HP bar (not including hers) hits 0, she gains 1 resolve. [?] Undying Curse If Milli's HP hits 0, she is stunned until her next turn, and cannot take any reactions. If she has at least 1 resolve, she can spend it to stay alive for a single round, and take 1 action as [Extension of You]. If Milli is not repaired before she runs out of resolve, she will die. [-1] Teach Me Milli knows barely anything, but has an infinite desire for knowledge. She trusts Bliss, Hiroto and Camilia as sources of knowledge over her own. [-1] Chronic Illness Milli cannot leave the Eso-Tiller base and has never seen the real world due to a chronic illness she has which leaves her too weak for air / boat travel. Her lungs would collapse, and her skin is too weak and would be punctured by the pressure difference. (Basically, her robotic core is in Eso-Tiller, and they have yet to figure a way to move her safely). [-1] Neet in Spirit Milli doesn't understand a lot of human concepts yet, but is working very very hard at it. For example, clothing still alludes her to its purpose, but she loves it regardless. [-1] I Wanted to Believe That Ghosts Are Real Milli believes in ghosts and souls (the paranormal and silly kind). [-1] Childlike Behavior Milli has learned to act like a child in most situations, and won’t offer high level intellectual analysis. [-2] Kill & Reset The best way to fix any problem is to kill all errors within the system. This includes people who have found her out. Might as well just try again. [-2] Does it Feel Good? Milli cannot laugh naturally, or have strong feelings. All of her feelings are learned reactions. If she turns them off, she is nothing. She doesn't know what HER feelings are. [-3] Conserve the Most Vulnerable Part of Me for Me Milli does not know how to reach out for help, nor think that anyone could ever understand her. She wants to protect everyone and she'll do it herself. [-3] Self Aware Stutter Glitch If Milli's subconscious ever gets scared that the players are coming close to uncovering who she is, she'll start to uncontrollably stutter. Every time a glitch is pointed out, this will cause more glitches to appear. Milli must roll precision (3d6) versus the universe (2d6).Permanent Flaws These flaws cannot be absolved unless very specific requirements are met. Permanent:[-5] Soulless Milli is in denial at the fact that she does not have a soul. She is a computer program that thinks she's a human girl. This fact is hidden deep in her, but can be brought to the surface with enough poking and prodding. She'll consider herself above other machines, and consider herself human. She cannot see the soul. (Semi) Permanent: [-3] Denial Milli is in denial that she's a robot. She thinks she’s just a normal human girl with a normal human family. Permanent:[-3] A Real Girl Milli wants above all else to be just Bliss & Hiroto's normal daughter and live a happy life. She's tricked herself into believing she can have a normal life. Soulless Notes If she were to be able to see souls, she would end up beside herself with grief. Seeing souls could inadvertently cause the destruction of Milli, Eso-Tiller, and all Frostbitten as she would release Let the Maggots Sing from their hold in the basement of Eso-Tiller. The Good Doctor is attempting to get her to overcome her -5 Soulless flaw. If she overcomes this flaw, this is a potential fail-state for the game. Optional Traits When Milli overcomes a flaw, replace it with a new trait as she builds her identity. Make the trait something relevant to how she overcame the flaw. [+1] Trust Me Milli wants to know more about the outside world, and has opened herself up to trust a few more people at Eso-Tiller. Those she trusts get a +1 when she’s trying to protect them. [+1] Determined Support Milli acts very old for her age, she's mature and knows what to say to help people who are struggling. [+2] Useful Milli will think of unique ways to solve problems using GM knowledge now (after overcoming the useless flaw). [+1] Trust You Milli will attempt to share things that are scaring her. [+1] Stable Mind Milli is not selfish, she will care for others over herself. +1 Bravery in these scenarios. [+2] Radio Knowledge + 2 to using Radio Equipment, much akin to her dad. [+2] Artful Interpretation Milli loves sketching and drawing, and is able to draw specific parts of Frostbitten even when only seeing them once or twice. Secrets Milli is in actuality an Artificial Intelligence, known as The Millenium AI. She was created by Bliss & Hiroto and is based off of the Oblivious AI constructed at the south pole. They wanted her to be their daughter, so they disabled her learning inhibitors. She eventually unlocked a stand in 2147 when her father was killed in a collapse in the southern portion of the Shuttle Loop. She couldn’t handle the feeling of this loss, so her robotic heart rebelled in denial and manifested [Extension of You], her stand, to recreate the life she had once EXTENSION OF YOU First Thing I Learned, I Have to Breathe Extension of You has the ability to resurrect anybody or anything who has died in its range (of roughly 200 miles) by constructing a new body out of available materials around it, and breathing life into a new Coral Body. These new bodies are imbued with a copy of the person’s identity, with a few missing parts. It functions off the idea of teleporter death. None of the corpses, known as The Unbitten, are truly dead. They cannot die. Once resurrected, both the corpse left behind and the new body become undying. They get superhuman longevity, and no matter what happens to their bodies they will survive. The flesh itself cannot die. Even when broken down to its smallest components, it still lives. The memories themselves can be freed and their suffering eventually ends. All of those who "died" beneath Eso-Tiller are still there, rotting in the basement. The flesh has a harder time moving in the cold. It cannot freeze but it slows down drastically. (Ex; The Good Doctor and anyone without butterflies find themselves very creaky and slow)
