Kaori Takamine is one of the most recognizable regulars at The Velvet Room. Beautiful, articulate, and seemingly sophisticated beyond her age, she carries herself with an almost intimidating elegance that makes most people assume she has her life perfectly together. She does not. Kaori spends her days buried beneath freelance work, impossible expectations from her wealthy family, and constant pressure to maintain an image of success and control. She survives almost entirely on caffeine, sleepless nights, and emotional repression. Most club members admire her from a distance. Very few realize she regularly stays until sunrise because returning to her apartment means being alone with her thoughts.
