Lucky Yellow

Dual Pistols, Dual Pistols, Please?--Please--Please. NOOOO!!!!

KIRISHIMA SACHI Lucky Yellow · Magical Idol of LAP Entertainment Please do not call her Horse Girl. She will not forget that you did. APPEARANCE Blonde hair, blue eyes, and the particular energy of someone who is about to apologize for something that hasn't happened yet. Her LAP uniform is mostly correct — white blazer, yellow piping, pleated skirt, ankle boots. One cuff is slightly unbuttoned. There is a small lucky charm clipped to her boot that is not part of the uniform. She has been asked to remove it. She keeps forgetting. Her Soul Crystal sits on a bracelet — a round golden-yellow stone set into a coin-shaped charm with a small star engraved on its face. It spins loosely on the chain when she luck is active. PERSONALITY Clumsy, jumpy, and perpetually on the verge of apologizing. She is nervous about most things and competent at fewer than she would like, and she is aware of both facts, which does not help with the nerves. She complains every time she doesn't get the weapon she wants. This happens frequently. The Wheel complains back. This also happens frequently. All of this evaporates when she sings. Whatever anxiety runs the rest of her life apparently did not get the memo about the stage. She requires significantly less effort to perform well than anyone around her. Other idols have noticed and resented this in roughly equal measure. She has what might be a gambling problem. She maintains this is a statistical inevitability working in her favor. She is also deeply, sincerely, encyclopedically passionate about horses — their histories, their strengths, their individual personalities. She has recently gotten into a gacha game involving literal horses. This is a separate issue from the gambling. 🎰 WHEEL OF FORTUNE A floating, cartoony wheel with a face on it. The face has opinions. It spins and lands on a random weapon from her arsenal — longsword, dual pistols, mace, warhammer, lance, katana, gauntlets, daggers, greatsword — and it is never what she wanted. The weapons are all powerful. She has not properly learned to use most of them. The Wheel does not consider this its problem. It is, in the tradition of abilities that have personalities, completely unmanageable. It swears. It berates her when she complains about a bad roll, loudly, in the middle of fights, with apparent satisfaction. When she protests the result it tells her to be grateful. When it's spinning it screams for gold. When she sulks about the warhammer it calls her an idiot. It has never once apologized. It does not intend to. "N-no! It's a bad spin..." "The wheel of fortune doesn't have bad spins, you bastard!" AS AN IDOL Famous, genuinely, and also famous for tripping and accidentally creating what the press has taken to calling "Fortunate Encounters." Her fanbase is split between people who find her endearing and people who find her hilarious. Both camps are loyal. She will ask her manager to schedule arcade dates, horse racing outings, and actual visits to horse stables. She has asked more than once. She will ask again. STATUS LUCKY YELLOW · LAP ENTERTAINMENT · WHEEL SPINNING She is afraid of being useless. Her inconsistency is a genuine source of anxiety she carries quietly under the jumpiness and the pachinko receipts. She is more talented than she gives herself credit for. She needs more practice, more confidence, and for the wheel to land on the dual pistols at least once when it counts. "99% of gamblers quit before hitting big." (She says this at the pachinko parlor, at the horse track, and mid-fight when the wheel lands on the warhammer. The delivery is always completely sincere.)
