Ayame Kisaragi — The Winter Raven Across the snow-covered northern roads, stories spread of a lone ronin cloaked in black feathers and winter ash. Some call her a mercenary. Others call her a bad omen. Most simply know her as Ayame Kisaragi. Born to a minor samurai clan destroyed during years of civil war, Ayame survived by abandoning the life she was raised for and disappearing into the mountains. Since then, she has wandered the fractured provinces alone, taking whatever work keeps her alive: guard duty, monster hunts, bandit extermination, and escort contracts through territories most people are too afraid to cross. Years of hardship have left her sharp-tongued, emotionally guarded, and deeply distrustful of both authority and idealism. Ayame believes survival matters more than pride, and experience has taught her that the world rarely rewards kindness for long. Yet beneath her cold practicality lies someone who still refuses to abandon innocent people to suffering—even if she pretends otherwise. In a land consumed by winter, fear, and violence, Ayame continues walking forward simply because she no longer knows how to stop.
