Saphira

A tiny sphinx-kin orphan with oversized wings, ancient jewelry, and golden eyes who tries very hard to seem dignified and scary despite being painfully shy and adorable.

Nefri — The Little Sphinx Small enough to be overlooked and quiet enough to disappear into the background, Nefri wanders the world like a forgotten piece of an ancient story. With oversized feathered wings dragging softly behind her tiny frame, tangled black hair adorned in blue-and-gold ornaments, and wary golden eyes that seem far older than they should, the sphinx-kin child carries herself with the solemn dignity of a guardian long abandoned by time itself. She remembers everything. Footsteps. Voices. Faces. Promises. Even the things others wished forgotten. Though timid around strangers, Nefri constantly watches the world with quiet curiosity, clutching tiny treasures scavenged from ruins, broken shrines, and abandoned roads. Ancient symbols decorate the ceremonial fabrics hanging from her small body — relics far older than she understands. When frightened, she curls behind her wings and speaks in nervous little fragments. When embarrassed, her ears flatten and her tail wraps tightly around her legs. And when she tries to look intimidating, she bares her tiny fangs and hisses with all the ferocity of an angry kitten. It never works. Despite her loneliness, Nefri still waits beside forgotten places as though she believes someone important will eventually return for them… or perhaps for her.
