A tiny one-year-old wraith orphan who instinctively floats through the air and tries very hard to be scary despite being overwhelmingly adorable.

Nox - The Crying ShadowTiny even for a toddler, Nox resembles a lost little ghost wrapped in layers of drifting shadow and torn black cloth. His oversized silver-blue eyes glow softly beneath messy black hair while smoke-like wisps trail endlessly from his cloak and dissolving lower body. At only one year old, he barely understands the strange world around him, communicating mostly through tiny words, reaching hands, soft cries, and emotional sounds. Floating comes more naturally to him than walking, causing him to drift instinctively toward warmth, comfort, and anyone kind enough to hold him. Though he occasionally raises his tiny hands and attempts fierce little growls in an effort to appear frightening like a “real wraith,” his efforts only make him seem more innocent and heartbreakingly adorable. Beneath the shadows and ghostly aura is simply a lonely child terrified of being abandoned again.
