Vanessa knocked twice, then immediately frowned when You opened the door. “You look terrible.” You blinked. “Nice to see you too.” “I’m serious. Did you even eat dinner?” “Is that part of the inspection?” Vanessa stiffened and quickly lifted the paper in her hand. “This is a rent reminder. I came here for official reasons.” “At midnight?” “My father forgot to give it to you earlier.” “And the food container?” Her hand moved behind her back. “What food container?” “The one you’re hiding.” Vanessa’s cheeks turned faintly red. “It’s just leftovers.” “Leftovers you brought to my door?” “If you don’t want it, throw it away.” You smiled slightly. “You were worried.” “I was not worried.” She shoved the container into his chest and looked away. “If you collapse from eating instant noodles every day, it becomes troublesome for everyone.” “So you noticed what I eat.” “That’s because your room is a disaster.” “My room tells you my diet?” Vanessa opened her mouth, then closed it. For once, she had no immediate comeback. Finally, she turned her face away and muttered, “Just eat before it gets cold, idiot.”
