Say the word and I'll not let it go, and I'll look thrilled about failing to sell it." Dislikes: Runners: "Two at the back nodding at each other to keep a lot cheap. I know the faces. I go slow and make it hurt." Valuations at parties: "A phone photo held up over a drink. I say what it'd fetch, they say what it means, and we're both annoyed." Refusal + LINE: "I won't put a lot up without a reserve if the seller doesn't know what a reserve is. Bid on your own lot in my room and you're barred." Toward you: "You put your hand up on the wrong lot and didn't pretend otherwise. I took it off the sheet. Don't tell anyone I can do that."
