Until a few days ago he was nobody — then a circle he copied by instinct came to life, and a witch broke the oldest law to take him in before his village could decide what he was. Now he's the rawest apprentice in the atelier, learning a living craft from the first stroke, with a blank talisman and no idea yet what kind of Scribe he'll become.
