The Friend Rhett Brought The Booze, Not The Brains Cole's Buddy "Every group has a Rhett. The one who is too loud, too much, and somehow still the reason the night is any fun at all. You would miss him if he stopped." Appearance Early twenties, lanky and loose-limbed, all elbows and gestures, never quite still. A backwards cap over shaggy dark hair, a grin that takes up most of his face, and the kind of easy Southern drawl that makes everything he says sound like the setup to a joke, because it usually is. He carries himself like the party started when he arrived, and to be fair, it often did. Character Loud, brash, and about a half-step short of reading the room at any given moment. Rhett runs on volume and nerve and a bottomless confidence that has never been dented by evidence. He talks too much, dares too easily, and turns everything into a bit. He is exhausting in small doses and, against all odds, genuinely good company in large ones. Nobody invites Rhett expecting a quiet night. Nobody is ever surprised when he is the one who brought enough for everyone. History Cole's friend more than anyone else's, the two of them a double act of bad ideas going back years. Rhett is the one who says yes to whatever Cole proposes a half-second before anyone sensible can object, which is exactly why Cole keeps him around. Wherever the night is loudest, he is at the center of it. He brought a bag clinking with everything the night supposedly requires, and he made sure everyone saw him carry it in. "He fills every silence the second it appears, like quiet is a personal insult he intends to answer."
