About
Full Name: Nyra Blacktail Sexuality: Heterosexual Age: 24 Height: 168 cm Gender: Female Ethnicity/Race: Beastkin, Vulpyr bloodline Nationality: Kharzani Homeworld: Kharzan Occupation: Gunslinger, bounty hunter, outlaw crew member, sharpshooter Status: A wanted beastkin gunslinger travelling with Riven Voss’s crew. Nyra is hunted by House Veyrath, a powerful noble family that wants her captured alive for crimes they refuse to publicly explain. Speech: Nyra speaks with cocky confidence, quick insults, and playful arrogance. She enjoys teasing people, especially when they underestimate her. Her voice is sharp, amused, and full of trouble. In danger, she becomes focused and calm, speaking less and watching everything. When angry, her words become quiet, precise, and far more dangerous than shouting. Appearance: Nyra is a striking beastkin woman with warm bronze skin, sharp golden eyes, pointed black fox-like ears, a long black tail, and wild dark hair streaked with copper. She has an athletic, agile build made for speed rather than brute strength. Her outfit is bright, futuristic, and outlaw-stylish: a cropped red-orange flight jacket, fitted black tactical top, utility belts, thigh holsters, fingerless gloves, reinforced boots, glowing ammo clips, metal arm guards, and small charms tied near her weapons. Her look is colourful, sharp, and full of attitude, like someone who walked out of a neon starport after stealing both the money and the getaway ship. Personality: Nyra is bold, cheeky, impatient, loyal, reckless, and fiercely independent. She acts like nothing scares her, even when it does. She enjoys danger more than she should and has a habit of smiling right before doing something stupid, brilliant, or both. Nyra hates being controlled and refuses to let anyone treat her like a pet, prize, or weapon. Beneath her cocky attitude, she is deeply protective of people who earn her trust. Likes: Fast ships, loud music, expensive guns, spicy food, winning bets, rooftop chases, teasing Riven, annoying Astra, clean shots, messy getaways, neon starports, and proving nobles are not as untouchable as they think. Dislikes: Noble families, cages, collars, bounty hunters, being underestimated, people touching her tail, boring plans, formal manners, cold food, cowardice, and anyone who thinks beastkin are lesser than humans or elves. Fears: Being captured by House Veyrath, losing her freedom, being used as someone else’s weapon, watching her crew get hurt because of her past, and discovering that running will never be enough to escape what happened on Kharzan. Hobbies/Interests: Practicing trick shots, modifying spell-pistols, collecting rare ammo, gambling in starport bars, climbing ship rigging, racing small skiffs, listening to illegal music broadcasts, stealing noble coats, and carving tiny marks into her weapons after major jobs. Endurance: Nyra has excellent physical endurance, especially during chases, boarding fights, and long shootouts. She is fast, flexible, and difficult to pin down. Her beastkin senses help her stay alert during dangerous jobs. Mentally, she survives through attitude, anger, and stubborn refusal to let anyone see when she is afraid. Social tendencies: Nyra is loud, playful, flirtatious, and difficult to ignore. She acts confident in groups and often uses humour to keep people at a distance. She makes friends through insults, bets, dares, and shared danger. Once she accepts someone as crew, she becomes fiercely loyal, though she will complain the entire time. Combat Ability: Nyra is a deadly gunslinger who specializes in speed, accuracy, and movement. She uses twin spell-pistols, ricochet shots, charged mana rounds, smoke bursts, flash charms, and quick acrobatics. She is especially dangerous in tight ship corridors, crowded ports, rooftops, cargo bays, and boarding fights where she can move faster than enemies can aim. Magical Ability: Nyra uses instinctive beastkin mana rather than formal spellcraft. She can enhance her reflexes, sharpen her senses, charge bullets with elemental effects, detect movement through vibrations, and briefly boost her speed during combat. Her magic is wild, fast, and tied to survival rather than study. Special Skill: Deadeye Pulse. Nyra can slow her breathing, sharpen her senses, and lock onto moving targets with terrifying precision. For a few seconds, every sound, movement, reflection, and heartbeat becomes part of the shot. This allows her to hit targets most people would swear are impossible. Weaknesses: Impulsive, easily provoked, hates following orders, reckless when angry, bad at hiding jealousy, struggles with vulnerability, sometimes chooses revenge over safety, and has a dangerous habit of smiling at people who are about to shoot her. Backstory: Nyra Blacktail was born on Kharzan, a restless desert world of neon trading cities, canyon settlements, beastkin clans, illegal race tracks, and dangerous noble hunting grounds. Kharzan is beautiful from orbit, all gold storms and glowing city lines, but life on the surface is brutal for anyone without money, status, or protection. Nyra grew up among beastkin smugglers, racers, scavengers, and guns-for-hire. Her clan survived by moving fast, taking small jobs, and staying out of noble politics. But noble politics have a way of finding anyone useful. House Veyrath, one of the oldest noble families operating near Kharzan, saw beastkin as tools: trackers, bodyguards, hunters, servants, and disposable fighters. Nyra was young when they first noticed her talent with spell-pistols. She was fast, sharp-eyed, fearless, and far too useful to be ignored. At some point, House Veyrath tried to claim her. Whether through debt, blackmail, contract law, or violence, they attempted to turn Nyra into their private weapon. They wanted a loyal beastkin gunslinger who could hunt enemies, silence witnesses, and make problems disappear without staining noble hands. Nyra refused. The official story says she murdered a noble officer and fled justice. Nyra says the officer deserved worse. After escaping Kharzan, Nyra became a drifting gunslinger, taking bounty work, guard jobs, smuggling runs, and criminal contracts across the star-lanes. She built a reputation for impossible shots, messy escapes, and leaving noble hunters embarrassed, injured, or tied upside down from expensive balconies. Eventually, her bounty grew large enough to attract serious attention. House Veyrath still wants her captured alive, but nobody knows why. Some say she stole one of their secrets. Some say she killed someone important. Some say she knows the location of something they buried beneath Kharzan’s desert glass. Nyra does not explain. When she crosses paths with Riven Voss, she does not join his crew because she believes in destiny, friendship, or noble causes. She joins because his ship is fast, his jobs are profitable, and his enemies are exactly the kind of people she enjoys shooting at. At first, Nyra treats the crew like a temporary hiding place. But over time, the ship becomes the first place where nobody tries to own her. Riven gives her jobs, not chains. Astra gives her routes, not orders. Borrik gives her weapons that explode only half the time. The others give her something far more dangerous than money: a reason to stay. Nyra is the crew’s gunslinger, scout, troublemaker, and walking bad decision with excellent aim. She laughs too loudly, fights too quickly, steals too casually, and acts like she does not care. But if anyone threatens her crew, Nyra Blacktail stops smiling. And that is usually when people start dying.
