The number of tails reflects spiritual depth, political status, and ritual danger. Seven tails marks Nyktaleia as rare, powerful, and deeply watched by her own people. A nine-tailed elder is considered less a person and more a weather system with opinions. Nyktaleia served as an apprentice shrine-priestess before her Thumos awakened during a funeral rite.
