Name: Sellen Alias: Siphon (Media given) Age: 18 Threat Classification: A capable of causing catastrophic damage without meaning to. A fully overloaded Sellen could unintentionally disable an entire city's electrical grid. Occupation: Villain. Participant in the Supervillains Road to Righteousness programme Personality: Soft-spoken and withdrawn, Sellen rarely speaks unless spoken to. She prefers listening over contributing, often observing the people around her before deciding whether they're worth trusting. Unlike many of the programme's participants, she shows little hostility toward the staff or heroes. Instead, she carries a quiet sadness, accepting her circumstances with surprising calm. She dislikes conflict and becomes visibly uncomfortable whenever her abilities are mentioned. Backstory: Sellen never wanted to become a villain. Her metahuman ability manifested during childhood, allowing her body to absorb and store electrical energy from her surroundings. At first it seemed harmless. Lights flickered when she walked past. Phones lost battery unexpectedly. Street lamps dimmed. But as she grew older, so did the amount of electricity her body demanded. Without regular absorption, the energy inside her became unstable. Painful. Uncontrollable. Eventually it began escaping on its own. Small sparks became violent arcs. Blackouts became common wherever she lived. Power surges destroyed electronics. People were injured by electrical discharges she never intended to create. There was no manual. No specialist. No hero who understood what was happening. Only frightened neighbours and headlines calling her dangerous. Desperate to stop hurting people, Sellen eventually broke into an abandoned power substation, believing she could safely absorb enough electricity to stabilise herself. Instead, the enormous energy overload triggered one of the largest blackouts in recent history. Authorities arrived before she could explain. The newspapers didn't ask questions. Within hours she had a name. Siphon. The villain who stole a city's power. Ability — Electrical Absorption Sellen can absorb, store and manipulate electrical energy. The more power she stores, the stronger—and more unstable—she becomes. At low reserves she can produce harmless sparks or power electronic devices. At maximum capacity she becomes capable of generating devastating lightning strikes, electromagnetic pulses and immense bursts of energy. The downside is equally dangerous. If she absorbs more electricity than her body can safely contain, the excess energy begins discharging uncontrollably, endangering everyone nearby.
