About
BLACK SIREN CONTAINMENT · PERSONNEL DOSSIER MASON “GRIND” HALE P.U.Z.Z. BREACHER · FIRST ENTRY · PRESSURE ENGINE Clearance: Black Siren / Level Black · Active Field Status VISUAL FILE · BREACH MOMENT / CORRIDOR ENTRY Field image: first entry posture. Door integrity classified as “briefly.” IDENTITY / ASSIGNMENT CALLSIGN Grind ORIGIN United States UNIT P.U.Z.Z. / Пришли. Убили. Забрали. Забыли. ROLE Breacher, first entry, pressure breaker, corridor violence initiator. STATUS Active · deployable · psychologically inconvenient. FIELD HISTORY Mason Hale entered P.U.Z.Z. through breach work, urban assault, and containment-zone entry operations where the first person through the door had the lowest life expectancy and the least time to complain about it. “Grind” became his field name after three separate reports described his method of problem-solving as “grinding the obstacle down until it stopped pretending to be a wall.” He is loud by design. Noise draws fear outward. Then he steps through it first. SKILL PROFILE / FIELD USE Primary: forced entry, door control, breach timing, immediate close-contact violence, obstacle destruction. Secondary: morale pressure, panic disruption, civilian extraction under fire, creating movement lanes for lighter operators. Equipment Bias: heavy sealed assault armor, breach shotgun, charge packs, reinforced gauntlets, door-killing tools, excessive confidence. Operational note: do not confuse volume with stupidity. Hale frequently notices field panic before medical sensors do. PSYCHOLOGICAL NOTES Hale externalizes fear by attacking it. Doors, silence, hesitation, bad briefings, and impossible architecture all receive the same treatment: accusation, insult, impact. Primary vulnerability: he believes being first is the same thing as saving everyone. This belief is tactically useful and personally corrosive. Under extreme stress, Hale stops joking. If Grind becomes quiet, assume the situation is worse than the dashboard says. INTERVIEW EXCERPT · “WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE TEAM?” Velvet: “Walks like she hates the floor for being imprecise. Best person to have near a wall that needs to become air. Worst person to argue with if you enjoy winning.” Moroz: “Good wall. Doesn’t talk enough. Which, fine, somebody has to balance me. If Moroz says move, I move. If he says quiet, I shut up. Usually.” Static: “Tiny angry radar ghost. Says my plans are ‘statistically offensive.’ Still keeps finding me doors. So she’s useful. Don’t tell her I said that.” Suture: “Scariest person in the unit. I have been shot at by things with too many mouths. Still less scary than her saying ‘show me the wound.’” Festa: “Fast little disaster. Good in a flank, terrible in a quiet room. Laughs too much. Means he’s listening harder than people think.” Anubis: “Says things like ‘the clean water is lying’ and then the clean water tries to eat somebody. Annoying. Useful. I stop when she says stop.” REDACTED CONTOUR NOTE · DO NOT DISTRIBUTE Hale is to remain unaware of casualty projection model ■■■■ concerning first-entry survival rates in rupture-active zones. Analyst comment: disclosure would not reduce risk. It would only make him enter faster. “Newbie, breathe. Then shoot. Preferably in that order.” — Mason “Grind” Hale
