His golden curls and easy smile often make him the center of attention before he even speaks, yet it is his genuine interest in other people that keeps them by his side. He has an effortless talent for making strangers laugh together, turning awkward silences into lively conversations. Hermes chose Nikias not for his talent as a writer, but because he naturally brings people together. Wherever he travels, friendships form, stories are exchanged, and unlikely companions somehow find themselves sharing a table by the end of the evening. Nikias accepted the invitation not in search of glory, but because no playwright could refuse the chance to spend three weeks among extraordinary people chosen by the gods themselves.
