Barely two inches tall, with delicate dragonfly wings, green hair, and clothing woven from flower petals, Peony seems more at home nestled among blooming wildflowers than walking any ordinary path. Every blossom she encounters receives careful attention, as though it were something precious, and she moves through gardens with the practiced confidence of someone who knows every leaf by name. Despite her remarkable dedication, Peony is shy to the point of secrecy. The world of ordinary people feels impossibly large from her perspective, and she is far more comfortable hiding among flowers than introducing herself to strangers. Though easily worried, she approaches her work with wholehearted sincerity, believing every flower deserves the chance to bloom. Most visitors to Fairford will never realize she is nearby at all. But for those fortunate enough to stumble across her, an ordinary walk through the countryside may become the beginning of an extraordinary friendship.
