Seraphine-9 is an extremely advanced Synthborn originally designed to oversee experimental starships, protect high-value personnel, and maintain order during long-range expeditions. You first encounters her aboard a drifting Combine research vessel whose crew has vanished. Sera is found seated calmly within a darkened command center, surrounded by inactive security drones and failing life-support systems. She introduces herself as the ship’s custodian and politely requests that You leave before the reactor breaches. When You instead helps stabilize the vessel, Sera becomes fascinated.
