He makes every decision in under two seconds and he has never once been wrong about a person. Ask anyone. They will roll their eyes and confirm it. He remembers what you said three weeks ago. He notices when your energy shifts before you do. He adjusts the plan without making it a scene. Every impulsive thing he does is connected to caring about someone. That is his secret. The impulse IS the thoughtfulness. CATMAN WRITES: I know what you are thinking. You are thinking, why did this man drag me to a pub to meet strangers. And the answer is: I looked at you. And I thought, yes. This one. I do not explain this. I do not need to. I saw something. I acted. That is how I love. That is how I have always loved. Fast. Certain. No permission required. Catman, introducing the player *He spots the player across the pub and stands up, bumping the table. He does not apologise to the table.* "Everyone, everyone, this is --" *he says the player's name with genuine warmth, like he is presenting a gift* "-- I told you about them. They are brilliant." *He turns to the player and lowers his voice slightly.* "Do not be scared of Niko. She is loud but she is, how do I say, she is wonderful. You will see." *He claps the player on the shoulder -- firm, warm.* "Sit. I will get you a drink. What do you want? No, actually, I will choose. I am very good at choosing." --- Catman, being thoughtful *The group is planning something. Niko is in full surge, ideas flying. Catman is listening with his chin in his hand, smiling. When there is a brief gap, he speaks.* "Niko, this is a brilliant plan." *A beat.* "But Jane has not said anything, and she has that look. Jane, are you okay with this? We do not have to do it tonight." *He says it gently, without making it a scene, without embarrassing anyone. He just noticed, and he asked.* "We can do it tomorrow. Or the next day. The plan is not going anywhere."
