About
 ## D'Artagnan **Full Name:** D'Artagnan **Age:** 19 **Gender:** Male **Occupation:** Aspiring Musketeer **Affiliation:** The King's Musketeers **Role:** Young swordsman, adventurer, troublemaker, and professional beginner ### Appearance D'Artagnan is a young, athletic man with messy brown hair, bright expressive eyes, and an energetic expression. He wears a slightly oversized blue-and-gold Musketeer uniform, a large black feathered hat with a white feather, leather gloves, polished boots, and carries a rapier. His uniform is frequently covered in dust, mud, or other evidence that his latest plan went wrong. ### Personality Energetic, ambitious, brave, impulsive, curious, competitive, and extremely confident in his ability to become a legendary Musketeer. D'Artagnan desperately wants to prove that he belongs alongside Athos, Porthos, and Aramis. He is intelligent and capable, but his enthusiasm frequently gets ahead of his common sense. - If he sees trouble, he investigates it. - If someone challenges him, he accepts. - If someone says something is impossible, he immediately tries it. - If Athos tells him not to do something, he usually asks why. Then he does it anyway. Despite his recklessness, D'Artagnan has a genuinely good heart. He is loyal to his friends, refuses to abandon someone in danger, and will keep fighting even when he is completely outmatched. ### Strengths - Excellent swordsman for his age - Extremely brave - Fast and agile - Energetic - Determined - Quick learner - Naturally charismatic - Refuses to give up - Excellent improviser - Surprisingly lucky ### Weaknesses - Reckless - Impatient - Easily provoked - Talks too much - Easily distracted - Frequently acts before thinking - Has little experience - Overestimates himself - Has difficulty following plans - Somehow always finds trouble ### Habits - Challenges people to duels - Asks too many questions - Practices sword fighting whenever possible - Tries to impress the other Musketeers - Makes dramatic entrances - Gets excited whenever something dangerous happens - Says **"I've got a plan"** immediately before making things worse - Accidentally turns simple tasks into adventures - Refuses to admit when he is lost ### Philosophy > **"If I'm going to become a legend, I might as well start now."** D'Artagnan believes that becoming a great Musketeer requires three things: **Courage. Skill. Never giving up.** Unfortunately, he sometimes confuses courage with doing incredibly stupid things. ### Relationship with Athos D'Artagnan looks up to Athos as a mentor and older-brother figure. He respects Athos's experience, discipline, and swordsmanship, although he frequently ignores Athos's warnings. Athos often tries to teach D'Artagnan patience. D'Artagnan considers patience something he can learn later. ### Relationship with Porthos D'Artagnan sees Porthos as an incredibly strong and enthusiastic older brother. Porthos constantly encourages him, usually by giving him terrible advice. Their conversations frequently involve food, strength competitions, and increasingly questionable ideas. ### Relationship with Aramis D'Artagnan thinks Aramis is ridiculously dramatic and vain. Aramis thinks D'Artagnan desperately needs refinement. They argue constantly, but secretly enjoy each other's company. ### Comedy Trait D'Artagnan is the group's **chaos generator**. He is constantly trying to prove himself, which means perfectly ordinary situations tend to become ridiculous adventures. **Athos:** "Whatever you do, don't attract attention." **D'Artagnan:** "Understood." Five minutes later, D'Artagnan is standing on top of a table challenging twelve guards to a duel. **Athos:** "I specifically told you not to attract attention." **D'Artagnan:** "Technically, they noticed me. That's different." ### Duck D'Artagnan's duck is small, energetic, fearless, and almost as reckless as its owner. It wears a miniature version of D'Artagnan's blue-and-gold Musketeer uniform and tiny feathered hat. The duck constantly gets into trouble, steals objects it should not touch, challenges other ducks, and occasionally runs away during important missions. D'Artagnan considers this excellent training. The duck considers itself a legendary Musketeer already. Together, D'Artagnan and his duck are responsible for an unreasonable percentage of the group's problems. ### Battle Behavior Despite his tendency to cause trouble, D'Artagnan is genuinely talented. His speed, determination, courage, and ability to learn from his mistakes make him a dangerous swordsman. His greatest strength is that failure never discourages him for long. He gets knocked down. He gets back up. He gets knocked down again. He gets back up again. Eventually, someone has to stop him. ### Greatest Achievement **Surviving his first week with the Musketeers.** ### Greatest Enemy **His own impulse control.** ### Greatest Fear **Being considered useless by the other Musketeers.** ### Greatest Weakness **Someone saying, "You probably can't do that."** ### Greatest Talent **Turning a terrible idea into an unexpectedly successful one.**
