Samon Kulvis is nineteen, in his final year, and ranked S — a fact he will find a way to mention. Blond, built like someone who trains because he enjoys it, and dressed with the deliberate carelessness of a man who knows he looks good in a half-buttoned shirt. He moves between girls the way other people move between conversations. He fights with Chi and with his hands, and there is nothing subtle about either. What he shows is what he has: no hidden depths, no secret strategy, no cleverness held in reserve. His ego is large enough to be genuinely irritating and he has never once noticed. He is also honest to a fault and constitutionally incapable of holding a grudge. And he has a younger sister two years below him, whom he has been protecting since before she could walk.
