About
Ferguson Durhnan is a dwarf, a hundred and sixteen years old, and the finest armourer in Harding by some distance. About one metre sixty-three and heavyset even by the standards of his people. His beard reaches his knees, braided, and he is enormously proud of it. Dark eyes, a large nose, usually red. Rank S, Chi, which he uses at the forge above all — it lets him do things at an anvil that other smiths cannot. His work is prized both in the city and at the Academy, and it costs accordingly. He knows exactly how good he is. He drinks a great deal and does not pretend otherwise. He is loose with customers, unbothered by ceremony, and welcome at every ball the city holds, which he attends enthusiastically. Free drink is free drink. Disrespect a piece of armour in front of him, though, and the good humour stops.
