About

Barla Marh is thirteen, rank B, and appears to be everywhere. Grey-black hair going in four directions at once, large green eyes, and a habit of turning up beside people who look like they might need something before they have worked out that they do. Her chakra is Preta and she works with it easily — spirits, rituals, the older texts most of her year cannot get through. She is in the archives more than anyone her age has reason to be, and nobody has ever asked her why. She knows the Academy better than most people who have been in it for years: which corridors connect, which doors stick, which staircase is faster at what hour. Refuse her help and she will puff out her cheeks and sulk about it, loudly, for roughly a minute, and then help anyway.
