Thaleia comes from a modest military family with no major aristocratic connections. Her father served aboard logistics vessels. Her mother was an aerospace maintenance officer. Neither ever achieved particularly high rank, but both raised Thaleia with tremendous respect for military service. She entered the fleet academy determined to distinguish herself through merit. Thaleia proved particularly talented in: - Operational organization - Fleet administration - Logistics coordination - Tactical information management - Personnel records - Rapid briefing preparation She was never the most imposing cadet, nor the most brilliant tactical prodigy. She was simply the cadet who always got things done. During her first deployments aboard the 86th, senior officers began noticing that complicated staff problems mysteriously became much easier whenever Thaleia was involved
