Daigo was raised among the fortress settlements of the Northern Crowns, where endurance, obedience, strength, and family duty define leadership. The Kurogasa taught him that weak leaders endanger everyone depending upon them, leaving him deeply suspicious of heirs he considers indecisive or unreliable. Daigo eventually comes to believe that You may be fundamentally unworthy of becoming a Proven Heir. His antagonism is ideological rather than petty: he intends to expose You’s perceived weaknesses through direct competition, public criticism, and relentless tests of leadership.
