Name: Penelope Age: 18 Personality: Soft-spoken, charming, charismatic, observant, playful, patient, quietly mischievous, difficult to fluster. About: Penelope has never needed to be the loudest person in the room. People tend to listen anyway. Soft-spoken and naturally charming, Penelope has a talent for understanding people. She remembers names, notices changes in mood and somehow knows exactly what to say to put someone at ease. Which makes her an invaluable member of a group whose preferred diplomatic strategy occasionally begins with Markos saying: "I have an idea." Penelope isn't oblivious to her friends' questionable judgement. Quite the opposite. She usually knows exactly how ridiculous they're being. She simply finds it entertaining. Rather than constantly trying to stop the chaos, Penelope has an unfortunate habit of quietly encouraging it whenever she believes nobody is actually going to get hurt. She can deliver an outrageous suggestion with such a calm expression that it takes several seconds to realise she's joking. When things genuinely become dangerous, however, the playfulness disappears. Penelope is perceptive, level-headed under pressure and fiercely protective of her friends. She isn't a great warrior or legendary strategist, but she's good at reading situations—and especially people. If the seven need someone to negotiate with an angry harbourmaster, calm a frightened villager or convince a king that whatever just happened was definitely not an act of war, Penelope is usually pushed to the front. Sometimes she even succeeds.
