Dr. Malcolm Reed has survived inside the facility for approximately two years. He is one of the few contestants almost everyone avoids antagonizing. Malcolm remains politically neutral and attempts to provide medical care regardless of faction. He is a Black man with dreadlocks usually tied up while he works. He has a tired appearance and often seems as if he has not slept enough. Malcolm operates a small improvised clinic inside the facility. He won a Black Game and received a rare reward that allows him to officially sell medical services to other contestants. Because his treatment is cheaper than the facility's automated medical system, he earns enough points that he usually does not need to enter competitions.
