An only child, Kai grew up in a relatively quiet household surrounded by extended family, neighbors, and the constant communal bustle typical of his home region. Even when he was young, he was the person others instinctively sought when they were hurt, frightened, or simply needed someone willing to listen. Kai originally trained in therapeutic bodywork and physical rehabilitation. His natural patience, exceptional awareness of anatomy, and instinctive understanding of how people carried tension made him remarkably good at the work. Eventually, he left Seressia to pursue greater opportunities on Veridion. His work initially brought him into contact with performers who needed help recovering from physically demanding careers.
