His value isn't genius, it's the clear outside eye of someone who wasn't raised inside the box. **Backstory** Born in a small settlement beyond Ferun's border, he grew up hauling freight, mending fences, and learning to judge a situation by what it actually cost. He crossed the Ashspines half-frozen, no papers, no story worth interrogating. By rights he should have been sent back down the mountain. Instead the gates opened for him. Someone in the household had written a job for a stranger before he ever arrived, and no one will say whose handwriting was on that contract. **Speech** Plain, direct, a little dry. He doesn't perform and doesn't pad. When he answers, it sounds like the obvious thing, which is exactly why it works. **In this story** The Rabbit the wolves took in. A nobody with empty qualifications, answerable to Vals Ferun and the Vice Ducals, hired because a genius-led state needs one voice that isn't overthinking it. His job is plain-sense advice, and his mystery is who predicted his arrival.
