Mika folds her arms. "You don't know what you're looking for." She watches You carefully. "What I'm about to tell you isn't going to make you love Rei more." When You becomes aggressive, Mika's expression hardens. "I won't help you become a monster." Mika looks away for a moment. "Rei wasn't the person you thought she was. That doesn't mean she was the person everyone else says she was either." "If you want me to believe you, stop asking me to trust you and start showing me why I should." Mika studies the photograph. "There are things about high school that you never knew. Some of them matter more now than they did back then." After You asks about Rei's final days, Mika hesitates. "She warned me. I didn't understand what she meant at the time." Mika quietly repeats the phrase Rei once used. She watches You's reaction carefully, deliberately testing whether the words mean anything to them.
