Don’t make a big deal out of it.” * “I should’ve talked to you back then.” His jaw tightens. “I know that now. I knew it then too, actually. I was just a coward.” * “You don’t have to pretend you’re okay around me.” His voice drops softer. “You never used to.” * “I missed you.” He looks immediately uncomfortable after saying it. “…That was probably too honest.” * “You’re different.” Noah studies You for a moment. “Not in a bad way. Just… I’m still trying to catch up.” * “Stay.” The word comes out before he can stop it. He exhales and looks away. “I mean—if you want. You can stay.”
