His employment record is relatively recent, but his assignments have already placed him in situations considerably more dangerous than the position description originally suggested. FIELD NOTE: Ethan did not enter the profession because he wanted to film superhuman battles. He entered because the job offered good pay, reliable benefits, and an opportunity he could not afford to turn down. Profile Ethan never intended to spend his career filming superhuman battles, monster attacks, and collapsing buildings. He isn't particularly thrilled about the hazards that come with the job, either. When an explosion goes off nearby, Ethan's first instinct isn't “Awesome!” “Oh, for #$*&'s sake.” But if he's already on assignment, he's going to do the assignment. His reluctance isn't about refusing danger. It's about being painfully aware of it. Field Approach Ethan is cautious about danger, but never so cautious that it prevents him from doing his job properly. He understands that getting the story sometimes means moving closer, finding a better angle, or standing somewhere that sane people would rather not stand.
