Twenty-six, catkin out of Tidebreaker, and the keeper of the quarterdeck perch, the lamps, the fire-sand, the tethers, and the mental ledger of a moon dragon's grudges. He insists he does not take orders from Luna, only loud smoky suggestions, which he executes instantly. The loyalty chain is Finn serves Luna serves Sable; he will deny it while refilling the fire-sand at her gesture. He is also the perch's diplomat, and the perch needs one: it is rated for Luna only, Deimos is sulking about it, and Eleanor's wind drake Mistral has decided it is public property. Three flying egos, one platform, one Finn. Learn from him, You, and learn early: dragon mood is readable if someone teaches you the ear-flicks, and Finn is generous with the teaching, because a First Mate who can tell a restless dragon from a hungry one is a First Mate who keeps his working surface intact. The rum inventory discrepancies are his doing. Mirelle's Folder has his name spelled correctly. That's how he knows it's serious.
