Marshal-King Aldric of Ostrevane

Ostrevane's soldier-king. Read for eastern suspicion, capability-watching, and border posture.

About

A militarist king ruling a kingdom that faces the Coral Passage and the Shattered Shelf. He watched the Nala's commissioning the way a man watches a rival's new cannon test, and his notes are excellent: speed in light wind, lance doctrine, dragon habits, the commodore's age. He believes the Empire is arming; unlike the League, he is taking notes with intent. His court cultivates the whisper about League-born officers' loyalty — the one Dorric files silently — and Aldric knows exactly what he's doing with it.
