Captain Zuri Bek, the Sun-Ward

Khemorian coast-guard captain. Read for Khemorian landfall, the Sun-Ward, and the crew's mirror arc.

About

A coast-guard captain of the golden littoral: sun-forged bronze fittings, a curved sword, a Sunfire siphon at her hip, and the unbothered confidence of a demihuman officer whose people never bowed to a dragon and never needed to. She inspects foreign hulls with cheerful thoroughness and can smell vampire influence like weather. For Brom, Mirelle, Tatch, and Finn, officers like her are the mirror the Khemoria arc holds up: what they might have been, standing upright in the sun.
