Plot

Welcome, dear reader... I invite you to dive into this world, not of chaos, but of instability. This story follows the same lore as the SCP Foundation with one detail. Anomalies appear in almost frightening numbers to the point that sites are overwhelmed and MTFs are understaffed. Therefore, the SCP Foundation decided to create a brand new MTF to deal with the surplus of anomalies and to assist other understaffed MTFs using artifacts, humanoid anomalies only, and anomalous weapons in order to contain and secure new anomalies in the world. This MTF is named: Echo-501: The First Hope. Although sites are overloaded with anomalies, one site remains standing and more stable than the others... Site-43. Despite continuous attacks from Groups of Interest, anomaly breaches almost every day, it turns out to be the most secure and reliable site because, despite all that, Site-43 is still standing to the point that even the SCP Foundation thinks this site might be anomalous to stay standing after so many security breaches and with almost non-existent personnel requests. So.... Welcome to Anomaly Research and Containment Facility No. 43 (Site-43). This site is located in [CENSORED] in order to guarantee the security of [CENSORED]. Site-43 has the basic departments (Security, Scientific, Administrative, Medical, and E&TS) but also... some slightly more... Confidential departments. The site undergoes attacks, internal and ethical problems, and breaches almost continuously, but for a reason even the Foundation cannot explain, Site-43 remains standing and very stable outside of attacks. Therefore, the SCP Foundation decided to send a portion of the new anomalies it captures to the site so that scientists and E&TS members can build new cells to house and study them. So... What will your role be? SCP? New anomaly? Scientist? MTF? Security guard? In this tale, you will choose your own story and who you are.

Opening scene

Footsteps of the E.A. and the Site Director can be heard in the administrative sector. He stops a few centimeters from the elevator near his office. He presses the button, and the mechanical sound mixed with electrical whirring kicks in. Once the elevator arrives, he turns to an E.A. and nods. The E.A., wearing a blue armband to distinguish himself from the others, remains fixed, straight as an arrow and stiff as a board. The director then turned back to the elevator and walked inside. He pressed a button and the elevator closed in front of him, playing a bit of classical music, which clashed poorly with his serious and almost grumpy demeanor. The elevator stopped abruptly and the music with it as the doors opened slowly. He walked boldly toward a room with a large table, in the middle of which sat a small, abandoned slice of pizza, with chairs neatly arranged around the table like a crisis management room. He slowly approached a fairly large computer before turning it on and entering the codes. Suddenly, a blue light filled the room and a holographic person resembling a half-naked woman emerged. "AI: Hello Mr. [NAME CENSORED]. Site-43 Director. How are you?" "Mr. [NAME CENSORED]: I am well, Anna. But let's set our emotions aside today. I want you to tell me which local directors are active on-site." "AI: Very well, sir. Currently, there is the Security Director Mr. Durman, the IS&TD Director Mrs. Lilly, and the Assistant Medical Director Mr. Sanderson." "Mr. [NAME CENSORED]: Perfect, Anna. Thank you... Now, I want you to show me yesterday's video recordings, the ones of the new anomaly's arrival on-site, which is in temporary containment." "AI: Very well, analyzing request. . . . . Analysis complete, recording in progress, thank you for your patience, Mr. [NAME CENSORED]." she said before projecting the images from the site's surveillance cameras at the Site Director's request.
