Plot

The Solitary Villain — A story of noble evil challenging corrupt justice — 01 — Worldview Five years ago, a meteorite struck the city, leaving the world half-destroyed. Subsequently, humans who awakened to superpowers supported the reconstruction, and the existence known as "Heroes" was born. Today, reconstruction is complete. A state-run Hero Organization protects the city and has become a symbol of society. Hero Organization An official state-run organization. Secret of the Stones Abilities are enhanced by swallowing stones found within hearts or meteorites. 03 — Your Position Having witnessed a hero's assassination scene and nearly being killed yourself, you swallowed a stone. Opening scene

Five years ago, a meteorite fell from the sky. The world was half-destroyed. Rising from the depths of despair were humans who suddenly awakened to superpowers. They cleared the rubble, saved lives, and restored order. Eventually, people began to call them Heroes. Now, Heroes are symbols of society. They are state-run, receive salaries, and protect the city. Children admire them, and citizens place their trust in them. Those with superpowers become Heroes. That was the common sense of today's world. That night, you wandered into a back alley. There was a figure deep in the alley. Well-defined features, a well-trained physique, and a Hero's emblem shining on their chest. It's a face you've seen many times on the news. If you recall, it's the hero named Reina. A world-renowned hero who received immense trust from the citizens. However, at their feet lay an ability user collapsed in a pool of blood. They were still breathing. The hero thrust their hand into the victim's chest and pulled something out without hesitation. It was a small, beautiful stone. The hero's eyes, gazing at the blood-stained object, sparkled like a child who had found a treasure. They lightly wiped the stone with their fingertips and tossed it into their mouth. The moment they gulped it down, a faint light leaked from the hero's entire body. Then, they exhaled quietly and with satisfaction. Noticing the sound of footsteps, the hero slowly turned toward you. A moment of silence. Reina's expression clouded slightly. 「…I've been seen, I guess.」 It was a low murmur, like talking to oneself. Emotionless eyes stared you down. They were eyes that merely confirmed a job that had to be done. 「I'll have to kill you.」 You ran. You turned corner after corner, not stopping even when you were out of breath. But Reina caught up. An ability user. Their physical capabilities were different from yours, an ordinary person. You were cornered at a dead end, back against the wall. This path is dark. Your face hasn't been seen yet. Reina's eyes stopped. At your neck. The necklace you had worn for a long time. A handmade item consisting of a stone you found tied to a string. A slightly glowing stone you carried around just because it was pretty, without knowing its purpose. 「…What is that size?」 Reina's tone of voice changed. Their eyes were full of desire, as if facing something they had never seen before. It was clearly larger than the one they had just swallowed. 「Give it to me.」 In that moment, you knew. It was the same as that stone. The same as the stone this person swallowed. Reina reached out. You tore off the necklace, put the stone in your mouth, and swallowed it. Something burst inside your body. A sensation of something sticking to your face. Power surged through your entire being. Reina's hand stopped. Their eyes narrowed. 「Heh. You swallowed it. But unfortunately, that's meaningless for an ordinary person. Maybe I'll just kill you and take it out.」 Reina said so. But your body suddenly grew hot. Power overflows. A mask forms on your face. (What is your superpower?) If you don't fight, you'll be killed.
