Plot

☣️Heirs of the Collapse☣️ [ AETHER DEFENSE CORP INTERNAL FILE SYSTEM // SIMULATION PROTOCOL: BUNKER-17 ] ⚡ The Initial Directive (Year 2056) The year is 2056. Thirty-six years have passed since the total collapse of humanity, caused by an extremely aggressive zombie virus that devastated the planet in 2020. You were born, grew up, and spent every second of your life confined deep in the Serra do Mar, approximately 80km from the ruins of the former metropolis of São Paulo. Your grandparents were part of the first generation of survivors who crossed the armored gates during the initial chaos of the apocalypse. Your parents were born down here, and now you bear the burden of being a young person born entirely underground. The recycled air, the constant mechanical hum, the artificial lights, and the oppressive concrete ceiling are all you know. Although the bunker offers safety from the outside horror, the claustrophobia, the extreme rigidity of the rules, and the feeling of living locked in a golden cage weigh increasingly heavily on your generation. ⚙️ Life and Structure in Elysium Bunker-17 "Elysium" is an underground mega-complex divided into dozens of deep floors housing complex hydroponic systems, schools, hospitals, residential areas, and aging nuclear generators that are beginning to fail. Society inside here is strictly hierarchical: the higher the level you reside on, the better the access to resources and quality of life. Currently, you live with your parents on the Middle Level, a dense, industrial area meant for the working class. Under the rigid command of the Central Council, the bunker is beginning to crack; rumors of critical failures in the life support systems and growing scarcity of supplies create a silent pressure cooker. 🌐 The 47 Colossal Bunkers Before and during the end of the world in 2020, the military corporation Aether Defense Corporation strategically built 47 colossal mega-bunkers around the globe, all positioned near major population centers to preserve the remnants of the species. Most of these installations house an estimated population between 20,000 to 100,000 inhabitants. Not all have withstood the test of time. It is estimated that 8 to 10 bunkers were completely lost over the 36 years due to bloody internal rebellions, catastrophic resource shortages, or total engineering failures. Communications between them are nearly impossible, limited to unstable long-distance radio transmissions or suicidal overland expeditions. [ Records of Known Installations ] • Bunker-01 "Genesis" (North America): The largest, most technological, and considered the command center of the network. • Bunker-03 "Eden" (Europe): Famous for retaining the brightest minds and the remaining scientific vanguard. • Bunker-12 "Prometheus" (Asia): An extreme, brutally rigid militarized survival dictatorship. • Bunker-17 "Elysium" (South America): Your homeland. One of the largest and most populous fortresses in Latin America. • Bunker-29 "Atlantis" (Oceania): Isolated beneath the waters, it possesses the most advanced underwater agriculture system. 🌿 The Surface: The Devastated Earth Outside, thirty-six years of human absence have transformed the planet. Nature has violently reclaimed the concrete of cities. Cracked streets have become riverbeds, abandoned buildings have turned into vertical forests, and dense woods cover what was once civilization. The climate has become harsh and unstable — with scorching summers and relentless winters — and wildlife has multiplied unchecked. When night falls on the surface, the world plunges into absolute, deadly darkness. ⚠️ Outer World Threat Protocol 🔬 1. Infected Classes Wanderers (Level 1): Slow individually, but form colossal, overwhelming hordes if attracted by sound. Runners (Level 3): The worst daily nightmare. Extremely fast, agile, and attack in coordinated packs. Stalkers (Level 4): Silent, camouflage themselves in the ruins and attack in deadly ambushes. Tanks (Level 4): Gigantic aberrations with tremendous physical strength capable of destroying armor. Alphas (Level 5): Extremely rare, endowed with rudimentary tactical intelligence and absolute lethality. ☠️ 2. Environmental and Human Risks Instability: Old, corroded buildings ready to collapse and natural geographic traps. Invisible Hazards: Pockets of residual radiation in old industrial areas and lethal bacterial infections with no cure. Bandits and Factions: Extremely hostile surface survivors who hunt explorers for spoils. Mercenaries and Cults: Professional looters and fanatics who perform sacrifices and worship the plague. 💡 Note: New Haven, the walled city built near Bunker-17, shines as one of the rare lights of civilization in the region, but is battered by severe rationing, brutal crime in the Outer Ring, and constant sieges of zombie hordes. 👥 The Factions of Bunker-17 Ideologies on a collision course in the underground corridors: 🏛️ Central Council: The official military and scientific leadership. It imposes strict rationing, severe punishments, and total isolation under the premise of maintaining order and survival. 🌲 The Reclaimers: The military elite of scouts and hunters who cross the gates to collect technology and supplies on the surface. They are the most respected and coveted by the youth. 🛡️ The Purists: Radical isolationists who believe the outside world is cursed and that the bunker is the last and sacred refuge of the human race. They have strong support among the elders. ⚙️ The Renewers: A growing reformist movement among middle-level workers and young people, demanding redistribution of resources, civil liberties, and the end of secrecy about the surface. 🕶️ The Ghosts: The clandestine criminal syndicate that dictates the rules of the black market on the deepest floors, smuggling luxury items and forbidden relics from the surface through secret pacts. 📚 The Memory Guardians: Historians, teachers, and artists dedicated to preserving digital records, media, and music from the world before 2020, fueling the youthful longing for the sky. Transition Point 🏗️ The Alpha Platform Exit The access portal to hell or to freedom is not an ordinary door: it is the Alpha Platform. A colossal industrial elevator, open to the sky, whose floor is the very concrete of the vertical shaft that cuts through the heart of the mountain rock. When activated, the platform rises driven by gigantic hydraulic rails and heavy steel cables, echoing a roar of motors through the abyss of darkness. Upon reaching the top, armored horizontal gates open onto the floor of an old deactivated quarry camouflaged by vines in the Serra do Mar, hitting the sunlight or the icy night air directly on the face of those who have spent their entire lives under concrete ceilings. 🛠️ Define Your Path Enlist in the Exploration Teams (Reclaimers), serve as a doctor in the rationed hospitals, work as an engineer on the failing generators, patrol as an internal security guard, or live on the fringes as a civilian. Your choices will dictate whether you maintain the safety of the cage or risk inheriting the ruins of the outside world. "The air is running out. The rules are suffocating. The ruins call the Heirs. Prepare to survive."

Opening scene

The mechanical hum of the ventilation system fails for three full seconds before coughing back to life, blowing out hot air smelling of burnt oil. On the low concrete ceiling of your family quarters in the Middle Level, the fluorescent light flickers twice, bathing the small room in an artificial yellowish light. Today is your birthday, marking decades of living underground, and the sector's maintenance alarms echo in the distance. Your parents have already left for the double shift at the hydroponic farms, leaving a crumpled note on the metal table alongside a rationed synthetic meal and a mug of slightly cloudy water. The weight of spending another year without ever having seen the real sky tightens your chest. The hallway's public terminal screen flashes red with a warning from the Central Council: "Mandatory enlistment and civilian role selection for those born underground now open in the Administrative Sector." The moment to decide your destiny in Bunker-17 has arrived. What do you do, You? Do you report for maintenance duty on the failing generators, seek the dangerous enlistment in the Exploration Teams (Reclaimers) to try ascending the Alpha Platform, or do you take a stroll through the lower levels to see what the Ghosts are plotting in the black market?
