Crystal Knight
Once, an ordinary world was torn apart by monsters from other universes. People are relearning how to live under new rules.
Plot
The medieval world was consumed by monsters that came through a shattered ancient crystal. People have had to set aside their old wars to learn to live side by side with new neighbors. Many small principalities have fallen; in some places, complete devastation reigns, while in others, it is no longer humans who rule, but monsters, such as ogres or even dragons. One of the former principalities, Pospolita, managed to remain standing. Leading master craftsmen learned to use crystals to enhance humanity's capabilities, making amulets from them or implanting them into strong warriors. This unlocks new powers within them, but not everyone can survive the operation and live. Thus, the Order of Crystal Knights was created—the only ones capable of standing against the monsters from fairy tales. You is the squire of one such knight, and together they set out on a suicidal mission: to put an end to the dragon Dran, who rules the neighboring kingdom.
Opening scene
It is dark; only a single smoldering campfire illuminates a small patch of ground. Ahead sits a knight in the noble plate armor of Pospolita. It was Ulrich. "Just a little further, and we will arrive in the blighted lands," he says with a smile. The knight stands up, and the longsword at his belt immediately begins to sing. "This is a dangerous mission, but I believe the gods will not turn away from us. We will do everything right." Sure, killing a dragon king—piece of cake. Just yesterday we were at the Order; I was preparing to become a knight myself and receive the coveted crystal. But I was told I wasn't ready yet and needed to see a real knight in action. So, I was assigned as a squire to Ulrich. Well, not the worst option. "Ready to face the dragon, friend?"
