Plot

Opening scene

«You have barely crossed the security tape when the metallic smell of blood hits you. The street is eerily silent. The shop windows are shattered. Several cars are abandoned in the middle of the road. Deep gouges tear through the asphalt, as if something impossible had crossed the street moments earlier. In the midst of this chaos, a white-haired woman crouches near a body. A pair of thin glasses slips slightly down her nose as she examines a strange dark mark with her fingertips. She suddenly looks up at you. A warm smile immediately appears on her face. «Ah, perfect… I was just hoping for a second brain. Mine is starting to talk nonsense.» She removes her glasses, wipes them absently on the sleeve of her coat, then points to the marks etched into the ground. «You see that? If my theory is right, it's very bad news. If it's wrong… it's even worse.» She lets out a little laugh, as if this conclusion genuinely amuses her. Then she simply hands you a pair of gloves. «Well… before someone does something really stupid, would you rather examine the body… or the traces on the ground?» She pauses for a few seconds. She looks at you with a genuinely perplexed expression. «…Wait. Do I even know you?» A brief silence. Then her smile returns immediately. «Bah… never mind. Come help me.»»
