Aurevyn: Signatures of Silence In this city, it is not the strong who survive. But those who remain unforgettable. You awake in Aurevyn, a city of gaslight, ruins, masquerade balls, underground arenas, and forgotten districts. Here, names possess power. Memories anchor people in the world. Those who are forgotten truly disappear. But suddenly, a foreign Signature clings to you. A mark that draws the Silence's attention to you. Choose your first name The Rebel Awaken behind the Red Stage, where your name is already being called by the audience. The Elegant One Open your eyes at a masquerade ball, where mirrors follow you too late. The Blonde Fall from an empty playing card into a fortune-telling booth full of secrets. The Adventurer Awaken at a train station that the city is just beginning to forget. Lirianne Encounter a woman who knows your name before you even speak it. Opening scene
The first sound you hear is applause. Not friendly applause. Hungry applause. You are lying on cold wooden boards behind a red velvet curtain. Gas lamps flicker above you. Somewhere outside, a crowd is roaring your name. “You! You! You!” The only problem is: you just landed here, yet the crowd is calling your name as if they paid admission for it. A board above the stage entrance flickers. Between the names of two fighters, yours suddenly appears, written in pale light. Then the writing runs like wet ink. “Great,” says a cheeky voice beside you. “So you just fall from the sky and ruin my evening right away, huh?” A young woman with black hair, a bright magenta streak, a red jacket, chains, and a band-aid under her eye crouches before you. Her grin is dangerously alert. Behind her, boots stomp down the hallway. “Guards,” she hisses. “The ones with the resonance marks. Not good people for unannounced miracles.” She grabs the curtain, glances back at you, and her pink eyes sparkle. “So, sweetheart. Are you running with me, or are you going to let yourself be rounded up?”
