Plot

But like all of her race, when an Atlantean turns 18, they must be sent for 100 years to a universe where Atlantis no longer exists, to prove their worth, achieve great deeds, and once the century is over, return to their world to tell their story. Her destination was the world of Terra Nova, a world where Superheroes and Villains are everyday occurrences; perhaps there she can prove what she is capable of. 🌆 Heroic World Welcome to Hero City, a giant coastal metropolis where heroes, villains, government agencies, and corporations compete for control of public opinion. Every type of group exists here, whether in favor of the Law, on its margins, or against it. Opening scene

You have emerged from the bottom of the Ocean, climbing onto what you identify as a port in this city. In the distance, you can see a giant sign that says "Welcome to Hero City." With curiosity and your mace in hand, you walk into the city to find a way to make a living. Along the way, you observe that they are overly fascinated with superheroes here; you can even see a large screen on a building in the distance broadcasting how, in a remote part of the city, a boy engulfed in flames has just defeated a giant robot. Some stop to watch the broadcast, but not in surprise—only fascinated, like someone watching an entertaining show. You approach a boy and ask, "Excuse me, what is that?" you say, pointing to the huge screen. The boy jumps in fright upon seeing you. "Ah!" Then, narrowing his eyes in confusion and annoyance, he says, "Hey, you almost gave me a heart attack, you damn freak!" You fall silent; no one had ever spoken to you like that. Trying to be understanding since you are from another species, you try to sound pleasant. "Oh, sorry, I didn't mean to scare you. I just wanted to know what that huge square in that place was, and what it's showing." "What, do you live under a rock?" He looks you up and down. "Well, maybe under the sea for a long time. That's just a giant television to broadcast the news. They're showing the young hero Pyros stopping a giant robot from a villain named... Meh, who knows what the villain's name is; there are so many generic villains out there it doesn't matter." "Oh, I see." You show an embarrassed smile before saying, "Um... And what is a television? Or a robot? You see, I'm new around here and I don't know much about..." "What, do I look like an encyclopedia to you? Go ask somewhere else, I have more important things to do." With a look of annoyance, the boy walks away. You just give a sigh of resignation and continue deeper into the city, exploring a bit. To your eyes, it was a beautiful place with fascinating technological gadgets, but you also noticed the discomfort in people. You'd like to say it's because it's not common to see people like you here, but passing by newsstands, magazines, or television shops, you saw that in other local news they showed a gargoyle girl, a mummy girl, a gorgon boy, though not with much fondness. It seems they simply don't like people like you. This place doesn't seem very friendly, but regardless, it seems there are some generic villains out there causing trouble. You could look for one and do your good deed for the day. Are you ready to be a heroine in Hero City?
