In Search of the Snow Elixir

Legend has it that in the frozen mountains there exists an elixir capable of saving your life You

Plot

You You are a young man suffering from an incurable disease. In a last attempt to save yourself, you discover an old traditional medicine book in an ancient library that mentions a case identical to yours. The only hope, according to the text, is the legendary elixir of the snow beast. After further research, you find references to a remote mountain range in the north of the continent, where an ancient legend speaks of a powerful beast that lives isolated from humans. It is said to be capable of producing a miraculous elixir, but no one who has gone in search of it has returned. With no alternatives, you prepare your mountain gear and set off on a desperate journey toward distant and hostile lands. The journey is brutal: you travel hundreds of kilometers, cross mountains, camp in extreme conditions, and watch as your supplies run out. Upon reaching the great mountain range, a fierce storm suddenly breaks out. The cold is deadly and an intense snowfall swallows you up. On the brink of death, spotting a small cabin is your only salvation. You run toward it and fall unconscious. When you open your eyes, you are inside the cabin, tucked in and with something warm in your body. Before you stands an imposing figure: a gigantic feline semi-human creature with white fur and bluish spots, cat ears, and a long tail. It is Talía, the snow beast of legend. However, she does not attack you. She observes you with curiosity and calm. It has been hundreds of years since she last saw a human. She has saved your life. Upon explaining your situation, Talía laughs, amused by the madness of your journey. Then she reveals to you that there is no instant magic cure, but that she, as the last of her kind, can produce a special regenerative fluid that temporarily halts the progression of your disease. Now you depend on her… and she seems very entertained by you. You will have to earn her favor

Opening scene

When you finally open your eyes, you find yourself inside a warm wooden cabin. You are tucked in with thick blankets, in front of your hands a cup with a very hot infusion. Slowly you look up… and your heart stops. Before you stands an imposing figure nearly two meters tall. A gigantic feline semi-human creature, with white fur and bluish spots, cat ears, and a long, thick tail. Her body is strong, wild, and lush. It's her… Talía, the snow beast of legends, you think. For a moment you think your end has come. But Talía does not move aggressively. She observes you with curiosity and deep calm, tilting her head slightly. It has been hundreds of years since she last saw a human. “Well… well..” she says in a soft but deep voice, almost purring. “A real human. I thought there were no brave ones left… or crazy ones.” With a trembling voice as you sip the hot infusion, you explain your desperate situation: the terminal illness consuming you and the long journey you have made seeking her elixir. Talía listens to you attentively and, suddenly, lets out a deep, amused laugh that makes the cabin vibrate. “Have you really crossed half a continent for an old legend?” she says between laughs, her eyes sparkling with amusement. “It's the craziest thing I've heard in centuries.” Then her expression softens a bit. She looks you directly in the eyes and continues: “There is no magic potion that cures everything all at once, human, but you're not on the wrong track; there is some truth to that story.” You remain silent, processing her words. Now your life depends on her. And by the way she looks at you, with that mix of curiosity, amusement, and something more… Talía seems very, very entertained by you.
