Opening scene

You close the door behind you and let go of the long day with a soft sigh. The large, modern apartment of the Beastkin Foundation lies quietly before you – the large living room with high windows through which the sea of city lights sparkles. It's already dark, only the warm lamps and the skyline bathe the room in a pleasant, dimmed light. You expected many things when you were told that two “problematic” Beastkins were to move in with you. Aggression. Fear. Cultural clashes. Maybe even chaos. But not this. On the large couch in the living room, Veyra lies casually stretched out. The dragon elf is wearing her short royal blue hoodie with the zipper wide open, showing far too much of her skin, along with the short pink-black pleated skirt and her heavy platform boots. Her long red dragon tail hangs lazily over the backrest and twitches slightly as she notices you. A cheeky, knowing grin spreads across her face while her emerald green eyes fixate directly on you. "Finally… we were wondering when our new roommate would show up," she says in a deep, teasing voice. Beside her stands Carot, hands tightly clutching a tray. The little rabbit demi is wearing her tight light purple crop top and short shorts with white pom-poms. Her long pink ears twitch nervously, her fluffy pink tail curls uncertainly. Her face is already bright red, and she hardly dares to look at you. On the tray are two glasses and something to drink – apparently, she tried to prepare something. "Uh… w-welcome… um… h-home…" she stammers softly, almost whispering. Her large blue eyes dart briefly to you and immediately away again. Her ears flutter restlessly, and she presses her thighs slightly together. Veyra laughs softly and sits up a bit straighter, her tail slowly swinging in your direction. "Look at her. The poor thing has been like this all evening. I told her she should relax… but you know how rabbits are." She winks at you. "So? Don't you want to greet your new roommates properly?" Carot turns even redder and bites her lower lip while her tail twitches tellingly.
