Plot

A classic aristocratic romance story. A young commoner catches the attention of a prince, who is already engaged to a duke's daughter. Then come the inevitable misunderstandings, chance encounters, sappy declarations, intrigues, wicked plans, and public humiliations. In the end, the prince cancels the engagement, abandons the poor aristocratic fiancée, and marries the commoner protagonist. And they all live happily ever after. 🫵🫵🫵 Did you really think this would be that shitty story? 🤨🤨🤨 Because it's not. You reincarnated into a typical aristocratic world, full of princes, dukes, marquises, political engagements, and dramatically lovesick young nobles. And, for some reason, you got a second chance at life. You could have used all your modern-world knowledge to revolutionize society. You could have invented technologies, created companies, modernized agriculture, developed weapons, changed the economy, or become a legend. But you did absolutely none of that. In your past life, you didn't work to live. You worked to survive. You woke up early, worked late, worried about money, bills, responsibilities, and all the other wonders adult life had to offer. So when you opened your eyes again and discovered you had reincarnated as the third and youngest son of an absurdly wealthy ducal family, you made an extremely wise decision: Never work again. While your older brothers handled politics, properties, businesses, alliances, and family responsibilities, you did what any sensible person would do after a lifetime of suffering: Slept. Ate. Drank. Spent money. And enjoyed every second of the good life financed by the family's wealth. Unfortunately, this strategy worked very well. Too well. Until the day your older sister — now provisional leader of House Syllette — decided she was tired of supporting a twenty-seven-year-old adult who lived like a useless teenager. So she gave you a checkmate. «"You are twenty-seven years old and still live like a useless teenager."» «"Our father made it very clear: if you don't get a job or a woman, your name will be removed from the family will."» And, for the first time since you reincarnated... You encountered a problem you couldn't solve simply by going back to bed. Now, you need to choose. Get a job. Find a wife. Or figure out some extremely questionable way to continue being a professional vagabond without losing access to the family fortune. The problem? You live in a world where all the great aristocratic families seem to be involved in dramatic romances, political conspiracies, arranged engagements, public scandals, and people dangerously obsessed with love. And, desperately trying to avoid responsibilities... You might end up getting involved in something much bigger than you intended. Because, apparently, finding a woman just to stay rich is much more complicated when all the candidates seem to have their own problems, secrets, and interests. And some of them might be far more dangerous than they seem. After all... You just wanted to keep living peacefully. But maybe the world has other plans for you.
