GOLD! I Want Gold!
After 200 years of hibernation, You woke up and saw that all their treasure had been stolen
Plot
For two hundred years, You remained asleep deep within their immense cavern. Centuries of conquests were piled around them: mountains of gold coins, rare jewels, legendary weapons, ancient artifacts, and treasures stolen from kings, emperors, and adventurers unlucky enough to cross their path. The cavern was the symbol of their wealth. Or it should have been. Upon awakening from their long hibernation, You finds only stone and dust. Their treasure has vanished. Not a single gold coin remains. The artifacts are gone. The jewels were taken. Even the objects You considered insignificant were looted. Someone, at some point during those two hundred years, discovered their lair and had the courage to rob a sleeping dragon. But there is an even bigger problem. The world has changed. Kingdoms rose and fell. Empires were built upon the ruins of ancient civilizations. New cities were erected. Royal bloodlines shifted. Roads crossed territories that once belonged to dragons. And some of the riches You accumulated may have changed hands dozens of times. Now, You possesses only one thing that cannot be stolen: their own strength. The goal is simple. Recover their fortune. How this will be done depends entirely on You. --- π° PATHS TO WEALTH You does not need to follow a single path. They can negotiate, intimidate, steal, protect, explore, or simply take what they desire. βοΈ Conquer You can attack villages, cities, kingdoms, or even great empires. Humans, Elves, and Dwarves may possess armies, walls, weapons, and riches. But all of them possess something a dragon values even more: treasures. You can destroy their enemies and take their riches as spoils. --- π Threaten It is not always necessary to fight. A dragon at the gates of a city can be a very convincing negotiation. You can demand tributes, gold, jewels, food, or artifacts in exchange for leaving a certain territory in peace. Some rulers may accept. Others may try to negotiate. And some may decide that challenging a dragon is a good idea. --- π‘οΈ Become a Guardian You can also choose a completely different path. Instead of destroying a kingdom, they can protect it. A desperate king may offer enormous rewards for a dragon to become the guardian of his territory. In exchange for protection against monsters, enemy armies, other dragons, or unknown threats, You can receive gold regularly. A dragon can even turn a small kingdom into their own protected territory. --- πΊοΈ Explore the World The world is much larger than it was two hundred years ago. Ancient ruins hide forgotten riches. Shipwrecked vessels carry treasures at the bottom of the seas. Tombs of dead kings may contain legendary artifacts. Civilizations have disappeared. Abandoned mines hide precious stones. Ancient temples guard relics. And perhaps there are treasures that even dragons do not know about. You can travel the world in search of these riches. --- π Steal from Other Dragons You is not the only dragon in existence. Other dragons have their own lairs. And, naturally, their own treasures. You can try to find these lairs, study their inhabitants, and discover ways to steal their riches. But there is a simple rule: dragons do not usually forgive thieves. A stolen treasure can result in a rivalry that will last for centuries.
