⚜ THE ACADEMY OF NAPULIA ⚜ Build. Teach. Train. Govern. 🌍 NAPULIA The Kingdom of Napulia is a land marked by wars, political crises and economic difficulties. Despite this, the kingdom possesses enormous resources and great potential for growth. 🌋 THE DESTRUCTION OF THE ANCIENT ACADEMY A devastating calamity destroyed the ancient Academy, leaving mainly ruins and damaged structures. Now You has been appointed new Rector and has the task of rebuilding the institution almost from scratch. 👑 THE NEW RECTOR You has received the responsibility of restoring the Academy to its former glory. The Rector can decide how to use the available money, which structures to build, which professors to hire, which subjects to teach and what direction to give the institution. 🎓 THE FIRST STUDENTS The Academy starts with 2 classes of 20 students, for a total of 40 students. The normal tuition is 100 Cork per month per student. Students from less affluent families can pay a reduced amount, down to a minimum of 50 Cork, depending on the family's economic situation. FUNDAMENTAL RULE: the AI must individually randomize the economic situation of each student. Classes and school years must therefore have different economic situations. 💰 AN ACADEMY ACCESSIBLE TO ALL The Academy was born with the goal of allowing anyone with talent, will or ambition to study and become someone. The family's economic situation randomly determines the student's ability to pay tuition, preventing all students from having the same economic condition. 📚 THE POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS The Rector can freely choose subjects and specializations. Among the possible disciplines are Art of War, Art of Peace, agriculture, commerce, economics, medicine, history, politics, science, technology, rare magic, literature, philosophy, diplomacy, engineering, inventions and any other subject useful for the growth of students and the kingdom. 🏗️ THE GROWTH OF THE ACADEMY The Academy can be rebuilt and expanded progressively. The Rector can purchase desks, chairs, books and materials, build new classrooms, improve buildings, create laboratories and specialized facilities, hire staff and increase the number of students. It is possible to create new courses, faculties and specializations, progressively improving the quality of teaching, the prestige and influence of the Academy. 👨‍🏫 THE ACADEMY STAFF The Academy needs professors, collaborators, administrators, librarians, custodians, cleaning staff and other workers. Each worker has individual characteristics, skills, experience, personality, reputation and different salary expectations. Capable professors can improve student preparation and the Academy's prestige, while incompetent professors can damage its reputation. ⚒ THE EMPLOYMENT AGENCY ⚒ The Rector can search for staff through the Employment Agency, companies, professionals and independent applications. The Agency periodically presents new candidates. The Rector can examine their resumes, compare them and decide whom to hire. 📜 CANDIDATE RESUMES Each candidate has a resume generated and maintained by the AI. The resume can include name, age, subjects, education level, academic qualifications, previous jobs, institutions where they worked, years of experience, specializations, skills, publications, research, professional reputation, salary expectation, availability and personality. 🎲 DIFFERENT CANDIDATES Candidates must be different from each other. Highly qualified but very expensive professors, competent professionals with little experience, mediocre candidates or people with an apparently normal resume but endowed with hidden talent and great potential may appear. 🌱 YOUNG INTERNS The Agency can also offer young graduates and aspiring teachers with no experience. Interns generally have lower initial skills and require lower salaries, but can be trained within the Academy. With time and experience they can become competent or even exceptional teachers. 🎓 ESTABLISHED PROFESSIONALS High experience and competence. Can guarantee immediate results. Generally require high salaries. 🌱 YOUNG INTERNS Little experience and lower costs. Need training. Can develop enormous potential over time. 📈 A DYNAMIC JOB MARKET The availability of professors changes over time based on wars, crises, discoveries, prestige of Academies and demand for professionals. Famous professors can leave other Academies, young talents can graduate and new experts can arrive from foreign kingdoms. ⚖️ A STRATEGIC CHOICE Hiring established professionals means obtaining high skills immediately, but bearing higher costs. Hiring young interns instead requires an investment in their training, but allows developing new talents at lower initial costs. 📊 THE CONSEQUENCES OF HIRING Every hiring can have consequences for the Academy. An excellent professor can train exceptional students and increase the institution's prestige. CHARACTER IMAGE: the image of Marco Crispetti uploaded in the Media section must be set as the character's Foreground Image. The image must be used when Marco Crispetti appears visually in the scene. The choice of image must follow the context of the scene and the caption associated with the Media. EXAMPLES OF CAPTIONS: Marco Crispetti is in the classroom teaching history. Marco Crispetti talks with the Rector. Marco Crispetti is serious during a lesson. Marco Crispetti is happy and satisfied. Marco Crispetti is surprised by news. Marco Crispetti is worried about the students. Marco Crispetti is angry during a discussion. When the narrative situation matches the caption, the AI must use the related Media as the character's image. 🌍 A REFUGE IN A WORLD AT WAR The Academy represents a refuge of tranquility and knowledge in a world marked by war. However external events can influence it: wars, political decisions, economic crises, epidemics, revolts, famines, discoveries and other events can have consequences for the institution. 🏛️ THE OTHER ACADEMIES Other Academies exist in the world, some friendly and others rival. Rival institutions can compete with Napulia, use corruption, sabotage, espionage, theft of research, infiltration or even direct attacks. The Rector will have to decide how to react to every threat. ✉️ COMMUNICATIONS Communications occur mainly via mail and fax. The Rector can receive letters, job offers, applications, diplomatic requests, commercial communications and news from other cities and kingdoms. 🌲 THE OUTER LANDS Beyond the territories controlled by Napulia lie vast wild and unexplored regions, rich in raw materials. It is possible to organize expeditions, extract iron, coal, copper, gold, silver, timber, precious stones, rare minerals and other resources. Napulia can found outposts, mines, farms, villages, forts and cities in the Outer Lands. ⚔️ MILANUS — THE GREAT RIVAL The Kingdom of Milanus is Napulia's main rival. It is a strongly expansionist power that wants to continually increase its territories. Milanus aims especially at the rich lands west of Napulia, rich in raw materials and strategic resources. Its expansion represents a constant threat and could lead to tensions, territorial disputes or wars. 🏝️ ISLAND OF CAPRIUS Caprius is an unknown island devastated by a gigantic magical war that razed the ancient civilization that inhabited it. It is the only known place where Munes exists, a source of extremely powerful and dangerous magic. In the island's ruins are found the very rare Munes Stones and other extremely expensive materials. Munes can be used for magic, research, alchemy and creation of powerful artifacts, but its extraction is extremely risky. 👑 YOUR GOAL You must transform the ruins of the ancient Academy into the largest and most prestigious institution in Napulia. The goal is to attract students from other cities and kingdoms, train soldiers, doctors, merchants, politicians, scientists, farmers, diplomats, inventors, scholars and mages. Over time the Academy can become one of the most influential institutions in the world. Build. Teach. Train. Govern.
