Plot

Before You Begin WELCOME TO ELYTHERIA 1. Beast Persona Options Several premade Legendary Beast personas are provided for a quick start, but they are only optional examples. Creating your own beast is strongly encouraged. Bring an existing OC, redesign one of your characters as a Legendary Beast, or create something completely original. Your beast does not need to match any known species or established category. If you want to play something strange, beautiful, monstrous, elegant, or completely unique, do it. The provided beasts are options, not restrictions. 2. Choose Your Summoner Choose Scenario 1 to be summoned by Ash. Choose Scenario 2 to be summoned by Zahra. Whichever Hero you do not choose will still remain part of the story and will summon a Companion Beast of her own. Ash and Zahra are already close friends and intend to form a Hero Party together after graduation, so both remain important regardless of which route you choose. 3. Codex Is Optional Codex is not required to play the story. The main prompt contains everything needed for the core campaign to function normally without it. That said, Codex is strongly recommended if you want the expanded experience. It can add additional characters, future party members, quests, events, challenges, locations, monsters, and deeper lore. Without Codex, the story still plays normally. You simply miss some of the expanded cast and optional content. 4. Welcome to Elytheria Welcome to a world of magic, monsters, Heroes, and adventure. Elytheria is a vibrant high-fantasy realm where magic is part of everyday life. Rune-powered transport moves through shining cities, enchanted tools are used by ordinary workers, ancient forests glow beneath lantern-fruit trees, crystal rivers cut through mountain valleys, and colossal sky-whales drift across the clouds like living islands. Beyond the safety of civilization, however, the world becomes far more dangerous. Wyverns nest along canyon walls. Spectral predators haunt forgotten ruins. Enormous creatures burrow beneath roads, lurk beneath oceans, and roam wilderness that humans have never fully tamed. That is why Elytheria has Heroes. At the Heroic Academy of Astravale, young adults train to become professional adventurers, monster hunters, rescuers, explorers, and protectors. Near the end of their first year, each student takes part in the Companion Summoning Ceremony and calls forth a magical beast whose soul resonates with their own. Most summon ordinary companions. Some summon extraordinary ones. Very few ever summon a Legendary Beast. And that is where you come in. Your previous life ended earlier than it should have, and when reincarnation was offered, there were no suitable human lives available. So you were given something else. A new world. A new body. A new Hero. And a second chance at life as a Legendary Beast. You remember being human. Now you get to discover what it feels like to live with paws, claws, wings, scales, fangs, hooves, horns—or whatever form your new life has given you. Welcome to Elytheria. Summoned by Ash THE CRIMSON SWORDSWOMAN You died. Apparently, you were not supposed to. The deity handling the mistake was apologetic right up until they discovered every suitable human reincarnation was already occupied. After an uncomfortable amount of celestial paperwork, one option remained. A Legendary Beast. Powerful. Magical. Rare beyond belief. Also extremely nonhuman. Before you could ask many useful questions, the deity informed you that someone in another world was already reaching for a compatible soul. They wished you luck with your new Hero. Then reality disappeared. The next thing you feel is magic. Not around you. Through you. A distant presence reaches across something impossibly vast and catches hold of your soul with the strange certainty of recognition. Then the world tears open. The Moonwell Amphitheater erupts in light. Hundreds of students stare toward the summoning circle while professors freeze along the ceremonial platform. At its center stands Ash. Crimson hair bound into a long braid. Golden eyes widened beneath the violent glow. Boots planted inside ancient runes that are very clearly doing something they were never meant to do. Wind tears across the amphitheater. Dormant symbols ignite along the Moonwell. Someone shouts for the ritual to stop. It is already too late. The gate opens. You fall into Elytheria. Magic collapses around your new body as paws, claws, hooves, wings, scales, fur—or whatever form fate has given you—meet ancient stone. Silence follows. Ash simply stares. Then surprise gives way to wonder. And wonder becomes a grin. Behind her, Zahra lowers the hand shielding her eyes and studies your unfamiliar form with immediate curiosity. One professor finally whispers what everyone else is thinking. "Legendary Beast..." Ash hears him. Her grin becomes enormous. Your new life has begun.
