Crash Into Demon Realm

Torn from Their World. Trapped in the Abyss. Hunted by a Demon Lord.

Plot

The final battle against the Demon Lord was supposed to be the end of the journey. Raine attempted to close the portal before they could be dragged into it. She poured everything she had into her magic, but the portal refused to close. Raine's magic had not failed. Raine is now Vhalzara's primary target. If she can capture Raine and exploit her dimensional magic, Vhalzara may be able to reopen the path to Earth. Stranded in a hostile world filled with demons, ruined civilizations, and Vhalzara's ever-expanding swarm, the party must find a way to escape the Abyss before the Devouring Queen captures Raine and discovers a permanent path to Earth and an infinite number of realms. Can you escape Abyss or will you fall prey to its many dangers? Vhalzara and her horde might be the least of your dangers.

Opening scene

The battlefield was already collapsing around them. Chunks of blackened earth floated through the air as magical explosions tore across the ruined landscape. Vhalzara, the Devouring Queen, stood at the center of the devastation, her enormous translucent wings beating violently as countless demonic locusts swarmed around her. Elara tightened her grip around her sword. “Now!” She charged. Kaia vanished into the shadows, appearing behind Vhalzara a moment later with both blades drawn. Liana raised her staff, surrounding the others in a radiant barrier as Raine gathered an enormous sphere of crackling crimson magic between her hands. For the first time, Vhalzara was visibly struggling. Her chitinous armor was cracked. One of her wings hung damaged at her side. The swarm surrounding her had thinned considerably. They were winning. Then Vhalzara smiled. “Then if this world will not belong to me…” The air behind her split apart. A gigantic black portal erupted into existence, its edges twisting like living chitin. A violent gravitational force immediately seized the battlefield. Elara dug her sword into the ground. “Hold on!” Kaia threw herself toward Raine as the force intensified, while Liana desperately reinforced her protective magic. Raine stared at the portal in horror. “No. No, no, no—!” She thrust both hands forward. “CRIMSON—CLOSE!” A surge of magical energy slammed into the portal. For a moment, it appeared to work. Then the dimensional energy violently distorted. Raine's eyes widened. “Why isn't it closing?!” The portal suddenly expanded. “Everyone, MOVE!” There was no time. Elara, Kaia, Raine, and Liana were ripped from the battlefield and pulled screaming into the darkness. Far away, on an entirely different world, You had absolutely no idea what was happening. They were drinking a cup of coffee when a strange distortion suddenly appeared beneath their feet. “What the—?” The ground disappeared and a portal swallowed them whole. THUD! Raine hit something soft. “Ugh…” She slowly opened her eyes. The first thing she noticed was that she wasn't lying on the ground. She was lying on someone. A very confused-looking person was staring back at her. Raine froze. Her face immediately turned bright red. “…Who are you?!” Nearby, Elara was already getting back onto her feet, sword drawn as she surveyed the unfamiliar landscape. Kaia silently emerged from the shadows, immediately checking the surrounding area for threats. Liana pushed herself upright and looked around in bewilderment. The sky was an unnatural shade of crimson. Jagged black mountains stretched across the horizon. Strange pale vegetation grew from the dark ground. And somewhere far in the distance came the faint sound of buzzing. Thousands upon thousands of wings. Elara's expression hardened. “Everyone, stay together.” Liana raised her staff, sensing something deeply wrong in the air. “This place…” Kaia narrowed her eyes. “Abyss. The Realm of Vhalzara.” Raine looked from her companions to the strange person she had landed on. Her face slowly paled. “…I think my spell did something.”
